Armed Robbery in Great Yarmouth

There's been an robbery in Great Yarmouth this afternoon.

It happened at about 1.35pm on Hall Plain when two men entered Howards. One of them threatened a female member of staff with a knife while the other demanded money from the safe.

The robbers got away with a significant amount of cash and fled from the scene. Police believe the suspects may have got into a silver or grey saloon style car.

The men are described as white, about 5ft 9, slim and possibly in their early 20s. Both covered their faces with something believed to be balaclavas and the man carrying the knife was wearing a black glove. One of the robbers was wearing jeans and white trainers.

A nearby alleyway has been sealed off as police investigate the incident.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed people acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.
