Arrest After Policed Follow Snow Footprints - Man Charged

Police have charged a man after a robbery in Norwich, after they followed footprints in the snow.

It follows an incident in the early hours on Friday 18 January when a 19-year-old man was approached by two men in Pottergate. The victim was punched in the face and robbed of his mobile phone and wallet.

Twenty-two-year-old Margiris Jogela, of no fixed abode, was charged with one count of robbery and remanded in custody to appear before magistrates in Norwich today (21 January).

Police continue with enquiries to locate a second man involved in the robbery.
