Attempted Ram Raid At Post Office

A post office has been ram raided during an attempted robbery

Police are investigating after an attempted ram raid which happened in Lenwade in the early hours this morning.

Officers were called to the Post Office on Fakenham Road just after 2am after reports of an attempted theft.

Police are telling Heart that would-be thieves reversed a white Mercedes Sprinter van through the front of the premise causing significant damage to the building but nothing was stolen.
 
The van involved in the incident was later recovered by police in Mattishall and has since been established as stolen.

Enquiries to trace those involved are continuing and police would like to hear from anyone with information in relation to the incident.
