Brandon: Three Arrested On Suspicion Of Trafficking

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of trafficking people and forcing them to work in Brandon.

The men from Thetford were held after raids on four homes this morning by the police, UK Border Agency and the Depratment for work and pensions.

Officers from Norfolk and Suffolk Police carried out two warrants in Maine Street, one in Mallow Road and one in Sorrel Drive at around 7am this morning.
 
A 27 year old man, and two 32 year old men have been arrested on suspicion of trafficking labour exploitation and money laundering and are currently being held in custody at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 
The arrests are part of an operation that also involved the Gangmasters Licensing Authority, the UK Border Agency and the Department for Work and Pensions.
