Cromer: Man Needs Surgery From Slash Wounds

Police are investigating are a man suffered slash wounds to his arms and head in Cromer.

Detectives are appealing for information after a man received serious injuries during an assault in Cromer in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 23-year-old man was walking along Runton Road at 12.25am with two male friends when they were approached by a group of three to four people, at least one believed to be female.

The man became separated from his friends and was assaulted on the bowling green, sustaining serious slash wounds to one arm and injuries to his other arm and head.

The group made off and emergency services were called to the scene.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Nofolk and Norwich University Hospital where he underwent surgery and has since been released.
