The parents of a teenager who went missing and was found dead three days later say a year on they still need answers.

19-year-old Daniel Hannant disappeared after a night out in Southwold on Saturday February 28th 2009.

He'd gone out with friends to the British Legion club for drinks. Witnesses say he left at around 11.30pm.

His parents raised the alarm when he hadn't returned home the next morning.

Daniel's dad Michael told Heart if they knew what happened him they could try to come to terms with it, "Living our lives without Daniel at the minute is very difficult and if anybody out there has any little bit of information, I think that will help us to try and move on a bit further and of course to find the truth on what exactly went on that night. It's just been very difficult. It's just like being left with an empty gap and not knowing the answers doesn't help. If we had answers, at least we'd know then what took place that night and then we could try and put a bit of closure on it."

After three days of police searches, Daniel's body was found in a ditch on marshland in Southwold.

A coroner's report linked his death with alcohol, as he was more than three times the legal drink drive limit.
