Drayton: Man Dies in Head-On Crash

A man's died after a head-on crash in Drayton in Norfolk.

The collision happened in Hall Lane at around 3pm yesterday Friday 14 December 2012.

A VW Lupo was travelling along the road out of Drayton, towards Reepham Road, when it was involved in a collision with a silver VW Passat which had been travelling in the opposite direction.

The road was closed for around three hours to allow police, fire and ambulance crews to attend the scene.

A man and a woman in the Lupo, who were both aged in their 80s, were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment. The man died at the hospital on Saturday morning. The elderly woman remains at the N&N where she is described as being in a stable condition.

The 45-year-old male driver of the Passat sustained minor neck injuries.

Roads policing officers would like to hear from anyone who believes they may have see either vehicle prior to the collision or witnessed the incident itself.
