Tens of thousands of public sector workers have been on strike today over their pay and pensions across Norfolk and Suffolk.

There have been walkouts by workers including airport, job centre and college staff, with demonstrations outside places like the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Ipswich Hospital, the James Paget Hospital and the Kings Centre in Norwich.

Unions say they've had "solid support" for strike action across the UK today in the row over pensions.

It's the third major walkout by public sector employees in the past six months.

However the Government has dismissed claims of 400-thousand workers on strike - they estimate 100-thousand.

Four hundred and fifty off duty police officers from Suffolk and Norfolk have also taken part in a big march in London over cuts of the police.
