A seal remains at a property in East Runton in Norfolk today following the discovery of a large quantity of ammunition, much of it historic, during a police search yesterday.

Officers had attended the house on Thains Lane on Tuesday afternoon 31st July to execute a warrant for other matters when the ammunition was found.

A cordon was put in place and the Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team attended to make the ammunition safe.

The ammunition has now been seized. A seal was put on the property overnight and further searches will be carried out at the property today.

A 63-year-old man from the Cromer area has been arrested under the Firearms Act and is currently in custody at Aylsham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned.
