Game and Country Fair

The people who organise and run a popular country fair in the region have been telling Heart why it's become so successful.

The East Anglian Game & Country Fair is taking place today and tomorrow at the Norfolk Showground in Norwich.

Last year the show attracted more than 40,000 visitors, double the number of people that visited when the it was first launched eight years ago.

Andy Grand, one of the event organisers, says: "The show's gone from strength to strength. As the show has developed, more people come back year on year. They introduce families, they introduce friends, and the recommendation is allowing it to snowball."

"We've always attracted huge amounts of people from all over the county and further afield, from Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire."

"We've got over a thousand Tweeters now that follow us now, that say the reason they come to the show is that it's such a good value day out."

Andy also told Heart about the many events and attractions that this year's show will offer. You can hear more by clicking the link above.
