Great Yarmouth: Armed Robbery At Chip Shop

A man armed with a gun has raided a safe at a fish and chip shop in Great Yarmouth over the weekend.

It happened at a fish and chip shop called 'Fish 'n Chick'n' on Regent Road in the town on Sunday evening.

Police received a report at about six o’clock of a man that had made demands for money from a male member of staff in the premises. A quantity of cash was taken from a safe.
 
It is thought he made his entry from the back of the premises. He was described as holding a hand gun, was of stocky build, wearing a black balaclava and was six foot, one inch tall. No-one was hurt in the incident. The fish and chip shop was closed at the time of the incident. The offender left the premises by the back door and police enquiries are on going to locate him.
