Great Yarmouth: Man Charged Over Cannabis Factory

A 23-year-old man is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 12 May, charged with producing a controlled class B drug after police discovered a cannabis factory at a home in Apsley Road in the town on Friday.

Cao Ky Nguyen, a Vietnamese national, of Apsley Road, was arrested after police carried out a warrant around 10.30am on Friday, 9 May, and found hundreds of plants estimated to be worth tens of thousands of pounds.

He was taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where he was interviewed in connection with the find.

He has now been charged with producing cannabis and has been detained in custody to appear before magistrates in Great Yarmouth from 9.45am this morning.
