Heart is being told hundreds of new jobs could be coming to Norfolk and Suffolk when a huge new wind farm is built off the East Anglian coastline.

East Anglia Offshore Wind have just confirmed they have signed a deal with the ports in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft to help in the construction and running of the wind farm projects.

The company won the right to work on the site in January and construction could start in 2014 or 2015.

It would be one of the world's biggest wind farms and could power over five million homes in the UK if it get the planning approval it needs.

Programme Director Jason Martin said, 'The East Anglian zone is one of the largest offshore wind farm developments in the world and will require significant construction and operational support in the coming decades.'
