Heacham: Witnesses Asked To Come Forward

11 October 2012, 06:00

Police want to speak to people in a car that stopped at the scene, after a car left a road, went through a hedge and overturned, killing a 20 year old man.

Police are appealing for further witnesses following the fatal road traffic collision in Heacham on Saturday 29 September 2012.

At around 12.25am that morning, a silver Vauxhall Corsa was travelling towards Hunstanton on the A149 when it left the road, went through a hedge and overturned.

Four men were in the car. One, a 20-year-old local man, sadly died at the scene. The other three occupants were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with minor injuries and all have now been released.

Officers would specifically like to speak to the occupants of a vehicle which stopped at the scene. It was believed to be a small, dark coloured hatch-back with 3 or 4 occupants.

Evidence also shows at least one other vehicle drove past the scene after the collision and officers would like to speak to the occupants of that vehicle too.

Anyone with any further information is asked to contact PC Shane Schucroft in the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
