An inquest has been opened into the death of a man after concerns about his treatment at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich

On Tuesday 1 October, 49-year-old Michael Campion from East Rudham had a medical emergency at Hellesdon before being taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he sadly died on Friday evening.

His death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation, led by the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team, is continuing to look at the care he received prior to and during the medical emergency.

A Home Office post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests are being carried out.

Mr Campion's family have told Heart they are 'devastated' at the loss of Michael.
