Hemsby: Teenager Charged With Murder

A 17 year old is due in court charged with the murder of a 20 year old man at a party in Hemsby in Norfolk at the weekend.

Connor Barrett, 20, from Abyssinia Close, Great Yarmouth, died as a result of a fatal stab wound inflicted at a private party held at Hemsby, near Yarmouth, on Saturday 10 May. 

The youth, also from Great Yarmouth and who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in police custody and will appear at NorwichMagistrates’ Court tomorrow, Friday 16 May.

The police investigation into Connor’s death, led by the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team (MIT), continues.

Seven other people arrested in connection with enquiry remain on police bail pending further enquiries.
