Horstead: One Man Still Critical After A Fatal Crash

A man is still in a critical condition after a crash that killed a woman in Horstead in Norfolk.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision in Horstead on Friday (15 March).

It happened at about 1.50pm on the B1150 Norwich Road when 1973 red Rover 3500cc and a blue Vauxhall Agila were involved in a head-on collision.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a woman in her 60s, died at the scene while the male front seat passenger suffered a broken leg and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains.

The male driver of the Rover suffered serious head, chest and leg injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital. The man has since been transferred to Papworth where he condition is described as critical.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the collision.
