Hoveton: Man Crushed Between Boat & Bridge

A man has been flown to a specialist trauma centre after he became crushed between a bridge and a boat yesterday afternoon.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) were alerted to Station Road in Hoveton in Norfolk at 2.34pm. 

An ambulance, the Essex Air Ambulance and the trust's hazardous area response team (HART) attended the scene. 

EEAST spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "A man who we believed to be in his 20s sustained injuries to his chest and following treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by land and air ambulance crews, he was flown to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridgeshire for further care." 

EEAST has no other information regarding this incident.
