Ipswich: Man Charged Over Kidnapping

A man has been charged by Suffolk Police after a kidnapping in Ipswich in March.

The man, who was arrested after police executed a warrant at an address in Duke Street, Ipswich on Monday 13 May will be appearing in court today, Wednesday 15 May.

Malachi Cavalho, aged 27 years of no fixed abode has been charged with kidnap, grievous bodily harm, robbery and possession of knife in a public place.

Cavalho will appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court today.

A man in his twenties who jumped from a balcony at the property in Duke Street, Ipswich, when officers executed a warrant at the address on Monday 13 May, remains in Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
