Lowestoft: Attempted Armed Robbery

Police are appealing for information after an attempted armed robbery in Lowestoft last night.

At around 10pm a man entered Kerry's Mini Market on Stanley Street and demanded cash from the till, threatening the assistant with a gun.

The assistant called police and the man left empty-handed.

He is described as white, of stocky build, 5 foot 10 inches tall and was wearing a black jacket, a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up, dark combat trousers, large black boots, white socks and white gloves. He was carrying a small black bag.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the man enter or leave the shop, or anyone else with any information about this incident.
