A man's suffered a broken jaw after an assault in a club in Lowestoft.

Police are releasing CCTV images of a man they want to speak to after an assault inside Hush Hush nightclub on Lowestoft Esplanade around midnight on Saturday 5 January in which a 26-year-old man sustained a broken jaw.

The 26-year-old was at the bar when he was approached and struck in the face by a man described as white, in his 20s, around 6ft 3ins tall, with short dark hair.

The 26-year-old left the club but woke the next morning with discomfort to his jaw. Several days later he went to the James Paget hospital where his jaw was x-rayed and found to be broken. He was transferred to the Norfolk & Norwich hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police are asking anyone who may recognise the man in the images to get in touch as officers investigating the incident are keen to speak to him about the assault. Anyone who can help is asked to call PC 1324 Sargeant at Lowestoft on 101.
