Lowestoft: Knives, Drugs & Cash Found

Three people, including a 14-year-old girl, have been arrested after police stopped a VW Golf car in Wollaston Road in Lowestoft around 1.45pm yesterday, Thursday 29th December, and recovered drugs, knives and cash.

Police stopped the vehicle and detained the three occupants - a 46-year-old man, a 42-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl - for drugs searches.

A quantity of cocaine was found and the 46-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and the 42-year-old man and 14-year-old girl arrested for being concerned in the supply of cocaine. All three were taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre (PIC) and also arrested on suspicion of money laundering.

Further searches of the vehicle stopped revealed a large quantity of cash and three knives.

Searches at addresses linked to the three led to a quantity of cannabis being found at an property in Norwich Road.

The 14-year-old girl was interviewed by officers before being bailed to return the Great Yarmouth PIC on February 15th.

The two men remain in custody where they are being interviewed by officers from the Territorial Support Team, based at Lowestoft.
