Lowestoft: Woman Injured

A 30-year-old woman has been taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with what are described as life threatening injuries following an incident at a flat in London Road South in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police and ambulance staff attended a rear courtyard at the address just before 2.30am, after a call from a man, and found the woman with head injuries. 

Police are investigating the circumstances as to how she sustained the injuries. 

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently in custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where he is being interviewed by officers. 

The woman is in a critical condition at Addenbrookes and police are now asking anyone who saw or heard anything in the area between 10pm last night, Sunday 8 April, and 2.30am this morning to call Lowestoft CID on 101
