Man Killed After Road Crash

A man's died after a road crash in west Suffolk early this morning.

The collision happened in Pakenham just after 3:30am, when the driver of a silver Ford Fiesta appears to have lost control of his car while travelling westbound on the A143 and left the road. His car then caught on fire.

The car driver, and only occupant, was 58-year-old Anthony White from Falcon Drive in Brandon. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

A section of the road was closed for approximately six hours while collision investigators carried out their enquiries and the car was recovered.
