MPs Discuss Airbase's Future

Some of our MPs are speaking to the minister in charge of the armed forces today about the future of RAF Marham.

Norfolk MPs have been making the case to save RAF Marham, which could be closed as part of government cuts.

Today they spoke to the Armed Forces minister about the future of the base, whilst planes from the base have been continuing to help enforce a no fly zone in Libya.

Meanwhile, the Ministry Of Defence confirmed that Tornado jets from Marham destroyed some of Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi's ammunition dumps in missions flown yesterday.

Simon Wright is MP for Norwich South.

He told Heart he'll be keeping the pressure up till a decision's made in July...
