Mum Changes Laws Over Still Birth

A mum from Norfolk is telling Heart how she has successfullyl campaigned for the rights of women who have had still births.

Rebecca Johnson from Mulbarton near Norwich gave birth to her daughter, Dulcie, last July at 24 weeks.

Sadly Dulcie was stillborn, and Rebecca was told she wasn't entitled to the same benefits or maternity leave as other mums as she was classed as having a miscarriage.

Until now, women who had a baby at 24 weeks were classed as having miscarriages so werent entitled to any maternity benefits or leave.

Rebecca has been campaigning to get the guidelines changed so that other women don't have to go back to work straight away and can have their maternity leave.

Today (Wednesday, January 18) she is going to Westminister to talk to MPs about her work, to meet the people who helped her campaign, and to talk about saving babies' lives.

Here Rebecca tells Heart about what happened...
