Norfolk: NDR Exhibitions

Norfolk County Council launching a series of exhibitions that will help the council develop a planning application for the Norwich Northern Distributor Road.
The exhibition features a plan of the whole route, from the A47 at Postwick to the A1067 Norwich to Fakenham Road, along with information about other Transport for Norwich projects that all come under the Norwich Area Transport Strategy.
Visitors will also be able to view a virtual aerial tour of the road. This visualisation does not include some recent changes to the proposals, but it provides a general impression of the road.
The decision to proceed with a planning application was made by Norfolk County Council's Cabinet on 2 April. Cabinet also decided that, although the Department for Transport funding allocation of £86.5m covers the road from Postwick to the A140 at the Airport, the remaining section to the A1067 (Norwich to Fakenham road) should be constructed at the same time, and that it should be dual carriageway.
The exhibitions are being held through April and May, starting in Rackheath today, and concluding with an all-day exhibition at the Forum on 11th of June.
