The former world heavyweight boxing champion Herbie Hide will stand trial at Norwich Crown Court today on drugs charges.

Hide, 41, has already pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to supply cocaine.

The former 90s champion, who lives in Bawburgh near Norwich, was earlier released on bail but was ordered to surrender his passport after he missed an earlier hearing whilst in Nigeria suffering from malaria.

He held the WBO  heavyweight title between 1997 and 1999.
