Norwich: Car Crashes Twice On Same Road

Police are appealing for witnesses following two serious car crashes on the same road in Norwich.

At around 8.15pm yesterday (Monday 16th December) a white Seat Ibiza crashed with a grey Hyundai Getz on North Walsham Road. The Seat then continued towards North Walsham and was in another crash with a silver Vauxhall Vectra near to the rugby club.

The female driver of the Seat was trapped and freed by the fire service. She was then taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with critical injuries.

The male driver of the Vauxhall was also trapped and freed by fire. He suffered serious leg injuries and was also taken to hospital.
 
The road was closed until 4am whilst a collision investigation got underway.
 
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or saw the manner of driving of any of the vehicles involved prior to it.
