Norwich: Driver Fails To Stop After Collision

Police want to speak to a driver of a 4x4 who was in a collision with a cyclist and then drove off.

Police in Norwich are appealing for witnesses following a fail-to-stop road traffic collision.

The incident happened on Monday 12 November between 2.30pm and 2.40pm on Newmarket Road close to traffic lights at the Christchurch Road junction.

A female cyclist was involved in a collision with a 4x4 which caused the front wheel of her cycle to buckle. As the 16-year-old cyclist approached the vehicle the driver made off from the scene heading towards the city centre.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning it.

Contact Sgt Joanne Minnis at Bethel Street Police Station on 101.
