Norwich: Police Appeal After Hate Crime

Police are appealing for witnesses to a hate crime incident that took place in Norwich.

The incident happened on Thursday 16 August at some point between 2.15 and 2.35pm in the 'Savers' store on St Stephen's Street, Norwich.

Two women were arguing in the store over a place in the queue when one woman used racially abusive language to the other woman.

The offender then left the store. She has been described as white, in her mid 30s, with dark hair, wearing a floral patterned dress that was green, black and orange in colour and black leggings. Police would take this opportunity to remind the public that all complaints of racism are taken seriously - racism of any form in the county will not be tolerated.

Anyone who has knowledge of the incident or who knows the woman involved should contact PC Mark Shepherd at Norwich police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
