Norwich: Six Charged After Shopping Mall Fight

Six men have been bailed after a fight at Chapelfield Shopping Centre in Norwich.

Six men have been charged with public order offences after fight broke out in Chapelfield Shopping Centre on Friday 11 May.

The incident happened at about 11.30am when a number of people were involved in a dispute in the food hall area. A further dispute happened as the group left the shopping centre.

The following people have been charged with using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause of/provoke unlawful violence.

·         Stevie Wildey, 20, of Gipsy Close, Norwich

·         Martin Wildey, 23, of Walpole Gardens, Norwich

·         Leon Punchard, 21, of Orchard Street, Norwich

·         James Clough, 18, of Palmer Close, Norwich

·         A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with the offence.

Dean Wright, 19, of Russell Street, Norwich, was charged with using threatening words/behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

No further action will be taken against a 29-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident.

All defendants have been released on bail with conditions not to enter the city centre and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 28 May.
