Norwich: Teenager Assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Queen Street in Norwich on Friday 4th May 2012.

A 19-year-old man was assaulted as he walked across Bank Plain into Queen Street at around 2.40am. He was knocked to the ground and kicked by a man described as white, in his early 20s, of slim build and tall wearing dark clothing and carrying a rucksack.

The victim suffered serious head injuries and was knocked unconscious. The assailant left along Queen Street towards Tombland.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed this incident, a number of people went to the aid of the victim.
