Sea Palling: Woman Sexually Assaulted On Beach

A woman's been sexually assaulted as she walked on the beach in Norfolk last night.

Police were called at around 8.50pm by a member of the public who told them that her female friend had been sexually assaulted whilst walking her dogs near the beach around 20 minutes earlier.

The woman has been spoken to by specially trained officers and has received specialist support from Norfolk's Sexual Assault Referral Centre, The Harbour Centre.

A 58-year-old man from the Great Yarmouth area has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently in custody awaiting questioning.
