A man's escaped from Hollesley Bay Prison near Woodbridge after getting into a car outside.

Abrar Abbasi, 32, was serving a three year sentence for being concerned in the production of cannabis and driving offences and left the prison around 2pm - 2.10pm this afternoon. He was seen getting into a vehicle – thought to be a silver Ford C-Max.

Abbasi is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of medium to heavy build, with short cropped hair, a full beard and brown eyes. At the time he went missing it’s thought he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black gillet and possibly a grey top underneath.

He has connections to the Walthamstow area, and other areas of east London.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information about where he is now to contact officers. You should not approach him or take any further action.

If you can help please contact Suffolk Police or your nearest police station using the national police number 101.
