Third Person Arrested After Man Dies

Three people are now under arrest after a man found injured on a street died in hospital.

Detectives are still questioning two of people arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of the man in Great Yarmouth last night  

A third person, a 31 year old local woman, has also been arrested in connection with the incident. 

Police were called to Stanley Terrace in the town at 7.45pm, where a man was found in the street with serious injuries.  The 21 year old man was taken to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston but died a short while later.

The 17 year old woman and 29 year old man, both local to the area and arrested on suspicion of murder, remain in police custody and will continue to be questioned throughout today.  

Detective Chief Inspector Jes Fry of the joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team (MIT) said:  “Officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team will be working with officers from MIT to carry out house to house enquiries and community reassurance patrols throughout today.  The scene will remain sealed while we continue to carry out a forensic investigation, along with searches of the area. I would ask that anyone who has any information about the offence to contact police."
