Three Men Injured in Fight...

A man has been arrested after police were called to a fight at Market Hill in Brandon around 1.25am this morning, Saturday 30 April.


Officers were called to reports of a large disturbance and several people fighting. When they arrived they found three men with injuries and police officers administered first aid until ambulance personnel arrived and all three were taken to Addenbrookes hospital.


They included a 26-year-old man with a wound to his neck and face that was initially thought to be life threatening, however he has now had surgery and is believed to be stable. Both the other men sustained cuts.

Market Hill has been cordoned off pending examination by scenes of crime officers.

A 30-year-old man from Thetford was subsequently arrested on suspicion of GBH. He is currently in custody at Bury St Edmunds police station, where he will be interviewed by officers.

Police are viewing CCTV and are carrying out a number of other enquiries to determine what happened but need to speak to anyone who saw the incident.
