Thursford: Man Seriously Injured At Scene Of Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured while helping at the scene of a car crash in Thursford.

The incident happened at 7pm last night on the A148 Holt Road at the junction with Brick Kiln Lane next to the Crawfish Inn.

As a male pedestrian assisted at a collision between a red Vauxhall Astra and a black Ford Focus, he was hit by a black Vauxhall Vectra travelling from the Holt direction. The man suffered multiple serious injuries and was airlifted to Addenbrooke's hospital where he is in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the Vauxhall Vectra has yet to come forward to police.

Norfolk police are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the incident or the manner of driving of the vehicle involved, to contact them on 101.
