Wherstead: Man Suffers Serious Injuries In Crash

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after his car left the road on the A137 at Wherstead yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the single-vehicle crash just after 3:15pm. The blue Ford Fiesta travelling northbound had left the road, rolled and ended up in a nearby field.

The 20-year-old driver was thrown out of the vehicle during the crash and suffered injuries to his back, head, neck and chest.

The ambulance service also attended, including the air ambulance and the man was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where he remains today.

His injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in contact.
