Woman Hit After Exposure

A man has exposed himself to a woman before hitting her in the stomach.

At approximately 3.40pm on Friday 30th September, a 47-year-old woman was walking from Oak Street in Norwich down the steps behind the St Martin's Close when she was confronted by a man in his 30s who exposed himself to her. He then spoke to her and she shouted for help. At this point, the man took hold of the woman and struck her in the stomach before he ran off towards Oak Street.

The man is described as white with a pale complexion, 5 foot 10 inches tall with blue eyes and spiky blond hair. He was wearing "tatty" baggy black combat trousers and a black t-shirt, and spoke with an Eastern European accent.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the man before or after this incident, or anyone with any information.

Calls should be made to PC Scott Malcolmson at West Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team on 0845 456 4567 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
