Yarmouth: Missing Man Update

13 April 2012, 16:35

Police believe body found in river car is that of a missing man.

Officers from Great Yarmouth CID can confirm that the vehicle which is being recovered from the river Waveney at St Olaves is a silver VW Golf.

The body of a man has been discovered inside this vehicle.

Formal identification is yet to take place; however, it is believed to be the body of 25-year-old Charles Samuel Watson from Henstead, who was last seen in the early hours of Monday 9 April 2012.

There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances however, the death is now being treated as a fatal road traffic collision, pending further enquiries. A post mortem will take place next week and the death has been referred to the coroner.
