Police are appealing for information following two burglaries at schools in Walgrave and Chapel Brampton.

Between 6pm on Friday, 22 November and 9.30am on Saturday, 23 November, thieves broke into Walgrave Primary School. The padlock to the front gates in Kettering Road was forced and the offenders broke into the school through a window at the back, near to Jubilee Way.

30 iPads, which were in blue cases, and a small safe containing cash were stolen.

A dark blue Audi A4 was seen the area at around 1.30pm on Friday and a van was spotted outside the Kettering Road gates at around 10pm the same evening.

Officers believe this incident may be linked to a burglary at Brampton Primary School, in Chapel Brampton, on Wednesday, 13 November, between 6pm and 12 midnight, when offenders broke into the school and stole 16 Toshiba Satellite Pro laptops.

Witnesses to either of these burglaries, or anyone with information about those involved or the stolen property, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
