Armed robbery in Daventry

Police in Daventry are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that took place at the Co-Op in Edinburgh Square in the town yesterday, Monday 14 February.

At around 1.50pm a man walked into the shop and threatened the shopkeeper with a knife, demanding money, before making off with a significant amount of money.
 
No one was injured in the incident but the shop worker was left shaken.
 
It is believed that the offender spent some time loitering outside of the shop prior to committing the robbery.
 
He was a white man, aged in his 20s, around 6ft tall, of slim build, with a pock marked face, high cheek bones and wore a baseball cap, a dark coloured hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
 
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
