Armed robbery at local pub

A landlord and his wife have been threatened at gun point during an armed robbery at a local pub.

It happened between 1am and 1.30am on Monday morning, at the Brampton Halt public house on Pitsford Road, just outside Chapel Brampton in Northamptonshire.

Two masked men forced the couple to open a safe at gunpoint, before threatening them and locking them in an office. The offenders then made off with what police are calling a substantial amount of cash.

The first offender is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, aged in his mid thirties and of stocky build.

The second offender is described as white, 5ft 11ins tall, aged in his late twenties and of average build.
