Biker Injured In Crash On A43

A 47-year-old man from Grantham has been seriously injured in a collision on the A43 at Laxton in Northants this morning.

He was riding a blue Kawasaki and was trying to overtake a white Astra van when it turned from the road to some fishing lakes.

The motorbike hit the van, sending the rider and bike into a ditch.

He received serious injuries as a result of the collision and was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
 
The driver of the Astra was not injured.

The collision took place at around 9.35am and the road re-opened at around 1pm.
