Body found believed to be missing pensioner

Northants Police say a body found in woods at Yardley Chase is believed to be that of a missing man from Bozeat.

Although formal identification has yet to take place, police believe the body to be that of Colin Curtis, 73, who was a keen bird-watcher.

Mr Curtis' family said that he passed away in the countryside, pursuing activities that he loved. They said he was well known and well respected in his community and will be missed by all.

Chief Inspector Gary Ashton, said: "I would like to thank the many members of the public and his close friends and family who have provided assistance to our search which has ended so sadly.

"I would also like to extend my condolences to Mr Curtis’ family and friends at what must be an extremely difficult time."
