Driver Dies In Three-Lorry Crash

A lorry driver's died after his HGV crashed into two others, spilling 600 litres of diesel onto the A5 near the Daventry International Freight Terminal.

The driver's white HGV had been travelling south on the A5 between Kilsby and the DIRFT site at 1.40am on Friday 6 January 2012 when the lorry hit two others in a layby.

Northamptonshire Police have revealed the lorry driver who died was 47 and from Ammanford in west Wales.

A big clear-up went on through the morning of Friday 6 January 2012 to clear up the diesel spill.  The A5 reopened just after 9.30am.
