Four Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder After Wellingborough Assault

Four men and a 16 year old have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was seriously assaulted in Wellingborough.

A 28-year-old Wellingborough man is in a critical but stable condition in hospital following a serious assault in the town during the early hours on the morning of Saturday 9th November.

The man sustained a serious head injury after being attacked in the Albert Road and Grant Road area of Wellingborough, at some time between 3am and 5 am.

He was taken to the University of Coventry Hospital and is stable after surgery.

Four men aged 18. 19, 21 and 26 and a 16-year-old boy, all from Wellingborough, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have been released from custody, pending further enquiries.

Wellingborough detectives would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who noticed any suspicious activity in Albert Road, Grant Road or the surrounding area during the early hours of Saturday.
