Northamptonshire police have named the man who died following a verbal argument with another man in a busy car park.

55 year old David McIntyre MacPherson, of Wootton Fields in Northampton, collapsed in St John’s car park in Northampton shortly after 10:30am on Saturday (June 18th).

A 40 year old man who was arrested has been released on bail and police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the case.

The post mortem is due to take place tomorrow (Tuesday June 21st).

Officers want anyone who witnessed the altercation to get in contact with them. They also want to speak to anyone who saw a dispute between a blue Toyota Yaris and a bronze 3 series BMW on Bedford Road immediately prior to the incident.
