Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found at a flat.

The body of a 62-year-old was found in a flat in Havelock Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire on Saturday 1 October 2011. Detectives think the motive for the murder was robbery.

The men, aged 30 and 35, and the woman, aged 36, who are from the Kettering area, are being questioned by detectives.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Woliter, leading the enquiry, said "this investigation is in its very early stages but I am confident we are following strong lines of enquiry, with three potential suspects detained late on Saturday night.

"It is likely that the motive for the attack was robbery, and that the victim knew his attackers.

"We are in the process of piecing together the circumstances leading-up to the man's death but ask anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to contact Northamptonshire Police on 03000 111 222."

A post-mortem was expected to be carried out on the victim on Monday 3 October.  The crime scene and immediate surroundings in Havelock Street were closed off.
